Cococel “Invite a friend” Program

Terms and Conditions · Version 1.0 · Last updated: October 13, 2026

Current Offer

Summary

This summary is for guidance only. If anything in it differs from the full text below, the full text applies.

If you invite

  • You can invite if your account has a verified phone, you made a purchase paid by card or another external payment method and you meet the other conditions (section 3).
  • Send your code or link to your friends and family, for example on WhatsApp or by SMS, or post it on your own social media saying that you get a Reward (section 9).
  • Do not share it in groups or public pages of strangers, in paid ads or on coupon websites, and do not send it as spam (section 9).
  • You get your Reward after your friend makes the Qualifying Purchase, usually the day after that purchase (sections 6 and 7).

If you were invited

  • Open a new account with your friend’s code or link, or apply their code within the time limit shown in the app and on the website, before buying anything (sections 4 and 5).
  • When you verify your phone you get the welcome reward, if there is one, like any new account, even if you never buy (section 7).
  • Within the time limit shown in the app and on the website, make a purchase that reaches the minimum purchase, paid by card or another external payment method (section 6).
  • With that purchase we credit the difference up to the total reward of your Offer, if it includes a reward for you (section 7).

Good to know

  • Rewards are Cococel Balance: they are not cash, cannot be transferred and can only be used to buy from Cococel (section 7).
  • Each invitation keeps the Offer in force on the day it is registered; the Current Offer appears above (section 7).
  • There are limits: we may limit how many Rewards a Referrer gets, and review, refuse or take back Rewards when there are indications of fraud or misuse (sections 8 and 10).
  • If the purchase is refunded or disputed, we may take back both Rewards, without charging your card (section 10).

1. What this Program is and how you accept these Terms

“Invite a friend” (the “Program”) is a program of Cococel International Inc. (“Cococel”, “we”, “us” or “our”), with its principal address at 4474 Weston Rd #1079, Davie, FL 33331, United States, that rewards our customers for inviting people who do not use Cococel yet. If the Invited Friend meets the conditions of these Terms, the person who invites and, when the Offer provides for it, the Invited Friend receive a Reward in Cococel Balance.

Taking part is voluntary and free. This is not a sweepstakes or a game of chance: the Reward depends only on meeting the conditions.

You accept these Terms when you share your invite code or invite link, when you open an account with an invite code or link, or when you apply an invite code to your account. In each of those places, the app and the website link to these Terms. Each invitation is governed by the version of these Terms in force on the date it was registered, both for the person who invites and for the Invited Friend (see “Version in force”).

These Terms are in addition to Cococel’s Terms and Conditions (https://www.cococel.com/en/terms-conditions) and its Privacy Policy (https://www.cococel.com/en/privacy-policy). Together they form the Program “Rules”. As regards the Program, if there is a conflict, these Terms prevail.

2. Definitions

  • Referrer or the person who invites: a Cococel customer who meets the conditions in “Who can invite” and shares their invite code or invite link.
  • Invited Friend: a person who opens a new Cococel account with a Referrer’s code or link, or applies that code after opening it, under the conditions in “How we decide who invited whom”.
  • Invite code: the personal code we assign to each Referrer. There is one per account.
  • Invite link: the link that carries your invite code.
  • Registration of the invitation: the moment we record on the Invited Friend’s account who invited them: when the account is opened or, if they apply the code later, when they apply it.
  • Offer: the products that count, the minimum purchase and the Reward amounts. It may have one or more options. The Offer of each invitation is the one in force at the registration of the invitation, and it is fixed from that moment.
  • Current Offer: the one we offer at any given time for new invitations. It appears at the top of these Terms and on the “Invite a friend” screen.
  • Qualifying Purchase: the Invited Friend’s first purchase that meets all the conditions in “The Qualifying Purchase”.
  • Reward: the Cococel Balance that we credit to the Referrer and, if their Offer provides for it, to the Invited Friend, when the Invited Friend makes the Qualifying Purchase.
  • Invited Friend’s total reward: what the Invited Friend receives in total, adding the welcome reward they keep and the Reward we credit to them.
  • Welcome reward: any Cococel Balance credit from a sign-up reward, the promotion we give, when there is one, to new accounts. It is governed by its own conditions.
  • Cococel Balance: the balance of a Cococel account, which can only be used to buy Cococel products and services.
  • External payment method: a card or another accepted payment method other than Cococel Balance.

3. Who can invite

You can take part as a Referrer if your account meets all of the following:

  1. It is active and has a verified phone number.
  2. You have already made at least one purchase on Cococel that was completed, paid at least in part with an external payment method and not refunded in full, and the security period we apply has passed since you placed that order.
  3. It has no risk or fraud restrictions and no suspended invite code.
  4. The Program has an open Offer at that time.

If you still need to verify your phone or make your first purchase, the app and the website tell you. For security reasons, they do not give the other reasons.

Your invite code is personal and there is one per account. If we suspend it for breaking these Rules, it is deleted and no other is created.

If you stop meeting these conditions, your code stops registering new invitations, and the pending Rewards of your invitations already registered are placed “In review” or refused, depending on the reason.

4. Who can be invited

To be an Invited Friend you must:

  1. Open a new account on Cococel with a Referrer’s code or link, or apply their code later, within the time limit shown in the app and on the website and before making any purchase.
  2. Verify your phone number. A verified number can only be on one active Cococel account, and it cannot have already been in another Program invitation that was credited, placed in review or refused.
  3. Not be the Referrer or an account of theirs.

5. How we decide who invited whom

The invitation is registered only once and cannot be changed afterwards, either to set another Referrer or to remove it.

  • The code you type when you sign up. If you type an invite code when opening your account, that is the one that counts, even if you opened someone else’s link before. It is registered as long as it is a valid code of a Referrer who meets these Rules at that time and the Program has an open Offer. If not, your account is opened anyway, without a registered invitation, and you can apply another code later, as explained below.
  • The invite link. If you do not type any code, the code of the first invite link you opened on that same device or browser counts, as long as it stays stored there. While that code stays stored, opening another link does not replace it, even if the first one no longer works, for example because its Referrer stopped meeting the conditions. In that case, type the code you want to use when you sign up. The code is stored on the device or browser, not on an account: it is not stored if you open the link while signed in to Cococel, and it is lost if you clear your browser data or sign up from another device.
  • Applying the code later. If your account has no registered invitation, you can apply a code from your account within the time limit shown in the app and on the website, as long as you have made no purchase, not even one paid with Cococel Balance. An order that failed or was declined does not count as a purchase. The app and the website show you the deadline.
  • Codes that are not accepted. We may refuse a code without giving the reason; for example, if your account shares a device or a card with the account of the person who invites you, or after several failed attempts on the same day.
  • You cannot invite yourself or use your own code on another account of yours.

6. The Qualifying Purchase

For the Rewards to be generated, as the Invited Friend you must make a purchase that meets all of these conditions:

  1. Time limit. The order is placed on or after the registration of the invitation and within the time limit shown in the app and on the website. What counts is when the order is placed, even if it is completed later.
  2. Products. It includes products that count under your Offer. Depending on the Offer, these may be top-ups (including eSIMs and data plans) and gift cards. Buying Cococel Balance does not count, nor do calls or SMS paid with Cococel Balance. Remittances are not part of the Program.
  3. Minimum amount. Both of these amounts must be at least the minimum purchase of your Offer:
    • the amount paid in that order with an external payment method, minus what was refunded; and
    • the amount of the products that count in that same order, leaving out those that failed, were canceled or were refunded.

The part of the order paid with Cococel Balance (including balance from the welcome reward, from gifts or from earlier Rewards) does not count, and an order paid entirely with Cococel Balance does not count. A purchase of exactly the minimum purchase does count. Each order is looked at on its own: amounts from different orders are not added together.

Example: if in one order you buy Cococel Balance and a top-up, and pay for it all by card, only the top-up amount counts toward the minimum purchase.

  4. Completed and delivered. The order is completed and delivered. An order in review counts when it is completed. An order that was charged and not delivered does not count until it is delivered.
  5. Verified phone. You have a verified phone number. If you make the purchase before verifying it, the Rewards wait until you verify it.

The Qualifying Purchase is the first purchase that meets all of the above. An earlier purchase that did not reach the minimum purchase does not forfeit the Reward: a later one within the time limit can count.

Example: you sign up with a friend’s link. On day 2 you place an order below the minimum purchase and on day 10 another one that reaches it. The day 10 order counts.

If there is no purchase that meets the conditions within the time limit, the invitation ends without a Reward, including when the purchase comes after the time limit.

7. The Rewards

What you get. When the Invited Friend makes the Qualifying Purchase:

  • the Referrer gets the Referrer’s Reward under that invitation’s Offer;
  • the Invited Friend gets the difference up to the Invited Friend’s total reward of their Offer, as explained in “The welcome reward is not lost”. If their Offer includes no reward for the Invited Friend, only the Referrer gets a Reward.

If the purchase meets more than one option of the Offer, the one that gives the Invited Friend the highest reward applies and, if they give the same, the one with the lowest minimum purchase. Both Rewards are credited at the same time, and each Invited Friend generates Rewards only once.

The Offer is fixed when the invitation is registered. The products, minimum purchase and amounts of the Offer in force at the registration of the invitation apply. If we later change or withdraw the Offer, the change does not affect invitations already registered: they are credited under their Offer. The Referrer sees the amount of their Reward for each friend in “My invites” as soon as that friend makes the Qualifying Purchase.

The following are not part of the Offer, and may also change for invitations already registered: the time limit to make the Qualifying Purchase, the crediting time, the limit on Rewards per Referrer, the take-back period and the security controls. Those changes follow “Changes, suspension and end of the Program”.

The welcome reward is not lost. Using an invite code or link does not take away your welcome reward: you get it when you verify your phone, under the same conditions as any new account, even if you never make the Qualifying Purchase. When you make it, we credit the difference up to the Invited Friend’s total reward of your Offer. To work out the difference, only your welcome reward is subtracted:

What we credit you = the Invited Friend’s total reward of your Offer − the welcome reward you keep, never below zero.

  • Cococel Balance you get from other promotions or gifts is not subtracted.
  • The call minutes of the welcome reward, if it includes any, are not subtracted.
  • If a security take-back removed your welcome reward before the credit, the part taken back is not subtracted.
  • If your Reward is credited before you get the welcome reward, you get the full total reward of your Offer and no longer get the welcome reward separately.

When they are credited. Before we credit the Rewards, the Qualifying Purchase order must be charged and completed, and the security period we apply must have passed since it was placed; that period protects against refunds and cancellations. Once that is met, we credit the Rewards, usually the day after the purchase. They may take longer if:

  • the Invited Friend has not verified their phone yet;
  • the order is not completed or delivered yet;
  • there is an open dispute about the order;
  • there are many credits pending, which are made in order, starting with the oldest purchases; or
  • the invitation is placed “In review”.

In review. An invitation is placed “In review” when a person at Cococel has to review it before the credit: when there are reasonable indications of fraud or misuse, for example a security signal on either account, a purchase that is a top-up to the Referrer’s phone or a suspended invite code, and also when the Referrer has reached their Reward limit or no longer meets the conditions to invite. We review each invitation in review within a reasonable time, and an invitation in review is not credited on its own. When we resolve it, we credit the Rewards with the amounts of that invitation’s Offer or refuse them. If you think a refusal is a mistake, you can make a claim (see “Claims and contact”).

How they are credited. They are credited automatically to the Cococel Balance of each account, and the credit appears in your Cococel Balance history. The Referrer also sees it in “My invites”. We may send a notification to those who have notifications turned on.

Conditions of use. Rewards have no cash value: they cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another person or account, or combined across several accounts. They can only be used to buy Cococel products and services.

Expiry. Cococel Balance earned through this Program does not expire. If we ever decide to set an expiry, it will only apply to balance credited after the change takes effect.

8. Limits

Invitations. We do not limit how many invitations you send. If many people sign up with your code in a short time, we may review or suspend the code.

Limit on Rewards per Referrer. We may limit how many Rewards the same Referrer receives in a period of time. Those above that limit are not lost for that reason: they are placed “In review”, and we decide whether to credit or refuse them.

9. Where to share and prohibited conduct

Where you can share. You may only share your code or link with people you know, such as your friends and family (for example, on WhatsApp or by SMS), and on your own social media profiles.

You may not:

  1. Create or use several accounts, your own or in other people’s names, to invite yourself or to multiply the Rewards, including with different phone numbers.
  2. Close an account and open another to enter the Program again as an Invited Friend.
  3. Invite non-existent, fictitious or duplicate people.
  4. Post the code or link in groups or public pages of people you do not know or on coupon or deal websites, or send it in a mass or indiscriminate way, in unsolicited messages or in any way that is or looks like unsolicited email (spam).
  5. Use the Program for commercial purposes, for example selling or buying codes, or promoting them in paid advertising.
  6. Hide that you receive a Reward. Whenever you share your code or link publicly, for example on your social media, say clearly that you receive a Reward if someone signs up with it.
  7. Pretend to be Cococel or say false things about Cococel or the Program, for example promising Rewards different from those of the Offer.
  8. Manipulate the Program or try to get around its security controls.
  9. Take part fraudulently or in a way that harms Cococel’s image or reputation.
  10. Take part where the law prohibits it.

10. Taking back Rewards and other measures

Measures against fraud or misuse. If we detect reasonable indications of fraud or misuse of the Program, we may, at any time:

  • place pending Rewards “In review” or refuse them;
  • take back Rewards already credited, with no time limit;
  • suspend your invite code;
  • exclude you from the Program, and you lose any pending Rewards and any credited Rewards you have not spent; and
  • suspend or close the account, under Cococel’s Terms and Conditions.

You can ask for a person at Cococel to review any of these measures (see “Claims and contact”). If it was a mistake, we correct it.

Automatic take-backs. If our security systems classify an account as risky, the Cococel Balance that account received from rewards, including those of this Program, is taken back automatically, up to the balance it has at that moment. On an Invited Friend’s account, what is taken back is deducted first from the welcome reward. This take-back has no separate notice: it appears in your Cococel Balance history as “Reward adjustment”. If you see it and think it is a mistake, ask support for a person to review it (see “Claims and contact”). If it was a mistake, we credit the amount taken back to you again.

Invited Friend fraud. If an Invited Friend’s account is classified as fraudulent, even after the credit, we may also take back the Reward the Referrer received for that invitation, even if the Referrer had no part in the fraud.

Refunds, disputes and chargebacks. If the Qualifying Purchase stops meeting the conditions (for example, because a full or partial refund, or a product that fails or is not delivered, leaves it below the minimum purchase), or a dispute or chargeback is opened on it, we take back both Rewards it generated: the Referrer’s and the Invited Friend’s. A partial refund that leaves the purchase at or above the minimum purchase takes nothing back. If the dispute is opened before the credit, the credit waits until it is resolved.

Opening a dispute or a chargeback is your right: this section only means that the purchase no longer earns Rewards.

Even if the Program is suspended or has ended. The take-backs in this section also apply if the Program is suspended or has ended.

How it is taken back. The amount is deducted from the account’s Cococel Balance, up to the amount of the Reward taken back and never beyond the balance you have at that moment. Your balance does not go negative, and your card or any other payment method is not charged. If you do not have enough balance left, we do not charge you the difference. This does not limit the actions the law allows us in case of fraud. Every take-back appears in your Cococel Balance history as “Reward adjustment”. When we adjust your Cococel Balance, we may notify you if you have notifications turned on, except for automatic security take-backs.

11. Personal data and privacy

We process participants’ data under our Privacy Policy.

What the Referrer sees. In “My invites”, the Referrer sees, for each person they invited: their shortened name (for example, “Pedro G.”, or “Your friend” if there is no valid name), the dates of the invitation, of the Qualifying Purchase and of the credit, the amount of their own Reward and the status of the invitation: whether the person signed up, still needs their first purchase, has made it, is in review, whether the Reward was credited or whether there was no Reward. They do not see the person’s email, phone, what they bought or how much they paid.

If there was no Reward, the Referrer only sees a general category of the reason: the Program conditions are not met, the purchase did not reach the minimum, the phone number had already taken part in the Program, the purchase was refunded or not delivered, the person did not buy in time, or the Referrer reached their Reward limit. For security reasons, reasons related to fraud or risk are shown as “Doesn’t meet the program conditions”.

The Referrer may also get a notification with their friend’s shortened name when the friend verifies their phone and when their Reward is credited.

If you sign up with an invitation. By using an invite code or link, you agree that the person who invited you sees the data above about you. Until you make the Qualifying Purchase, you see your Offer; you do not see the name of the person who invited you.

Fraud prevention. To protect the Program, we record and compare technical data from the accounts of the person who invites and the Invited Friend: the IP address, the country and internet provider derived from it, whether the connection uses a VPN or a proxy, the device and the browser, and data that identifies the cards used. We also use bot detection. With this data, we may refuse a code, place an invitation “In review” or refuse it.

Your commitment when you invite. Send your invitation only to people you know who agree to receive it, and post it only where “Where to share and prohibited conduct” allows. You send or post the invitations yourself, from your device; we do not send invitation messages on your behalf.

12. Changes, suspension and end of the Program

Changes. We may change these Terms and the Current Offer at any time. A change to the Offer only affects invitations registered afterwards; those already registered keep theirs. Each change to these Terms is published on this page, which the app and the website link to, with the date of its last update. Check it before you invite or use a code: if you keep taking part after that date, you accept the updated version.

Temporary suspension. We may suspend the Program temporarily. While it lasts, no new invitations are registered and pending credits are postponed until the Program resumes. The take-backs in “Taking back Rewards and other measures” keep applying. If the suspension is prolonged, we may apply the provisions for the end of the Program.

End of the Program. We may end the Program at any time. From the end date, no new invitations are registered. Invitations registered before that date keep their right to the Reward: if the Invited Friend makes the Qualifying Purchase within their time limit, we credit the Rewards under these Rules. The Referrer can keep seeing “My invites” until the time limit of the last registered invitation closes.

Advertising. If an advertising message or a text in the app or on the website about the Program contradicts these Terms, these Terms prevail, without prejudice to the rights applicable law gives you.

Interpretation. We apply and interpret these Rules. Our decisions about the Program are final within the Program, without prejudice to your right to make a claim (see “Claims and contact”) and to the rights applicable law gives you.

13. Taxes

Rewards may have tax consequences depending on the country where you live. Each participant is responsible for their own taxes. If applicable law requires it, we may ask you for the information we need to meet our tax obligations and not credit new Rewards until you provide it.

14. Scope, age and currency

Scope. The Program is available to all Cococel customers, except where the law prohibits or restricts it.

Age. To take part you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country if it is higher, and comply with Cococel’s Terms and Conditions.

Currency. The amounts of the Offer and of the Rewards are expressed and credited in United States dollars (US$).

15. Claims and contact

If you have a question, or think a decision about your invitation or your Reward is a mistake, write to us from the Help section of the app or the website (https://www.cococel.com/en/help), or at support@cococel.com. Include the email of your account and, if you are a Referrer, your friend’s shortened name as it appears in “My invites”. We will reply within a reasonable time. If the decision was made automatically, for example a take-back you see in your history as “Reward adjustment”, you can ask for a person to review it; if it was a mistake, we correct it with an adjustment to your Cococel Balance that credits the amount again.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida (United States), like Cococel’s Terms and Conditions. Disputes are resolved as provided in those Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.

17. Version in force

Version 1.0 of the Terms of the “Invite a friend” program, last updated on October 13, 2026. The version in force is always the one published on this page.

Each invitation is governed by the version in force on the date it was registered: the day the Invited Friend opened their account with the code or link, or the day they applied the code. That includes the later changes that same version allows in “Changes, suspension and end of the Program”.
